About
BIO
Chris Broach is a lifelong musician. He was introduced to punk and hardcore music via skateboarding with friends in the neighborhood where he grew up. What followed was a love for punk and independent music of all kinds. He played in local bands at venues around the Chicagoland area, and solidified his place in the punk scene as a guitarist and co-singer of the influential indie / emo act Braid. He’s also released music and toured with many other bands, including The Firebird Band, L’Spaerow, The Blakhiv, Life at Sea, and SNST. His music has appeared on radio, on television, in movies, and more.
His experience working in many different studio environments led him to music production on his own, in his home, and at other studios. He started Lucid Records and City at Night Records to put out records for bands he liked and some of his own music.
He runs Mass Energy and City at Night Rx where he produces, records, mixes, masters, and releases records. He also teaches audio/sound production at McHenry County College, in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
